About the Artist

I’m an illustrator and graphic novelist who recently graduated from Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, University of New Haven Fall 2019 with a bachelors degree in Fine Art. I work with traditional and digital media tools like watercolor, dip ink pens and brushes, graphite and Adobe Photoshop. My illustration interests center around Fantasy, visual storytelling, concept art and worldbuilding,

I’ve always had an interest in illustrating worlds and characters since childhood. Books like the Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien, illustrated books for kids like Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel, graphic novels like The Incal by Jodorowsky-Moebius, and manga like Dragonball Z greatly influenced me throughout my youth.

While unable to leave home due to Covid-19 I’ve started, and finished a short graphic story called Manum. As an artistic experiment, Manum is my attempt to tell a story that can function alone as visuals, without necessarily needing text, but still using it as a helpful and crucial tool for the visual medium of comics. As an expression of my desire for storytelling, it’s my attempt to create a concrete self-contained narrative with a framework of fantasy, mystery, strange/ fun monsters and family.
